Location Round-up

I get frequently asked for recommendations on picking a location so I have compiled a list of some of my favorite locations across Northern Virginia to make it easier for you to envision and decide on a location that best meets your needs. You will find many dog-friendly locations listed below with a 🐾 (paw print) to indicate pet friendly locations. Please make note that depending on the time of year with different seasons and the lighting, the location will look different than what is depicted.

Lake Fairfax Park

Lake Fairfax Park is located in Reston, Virginia. Lake Fairfax makes the very top of my list as being my all time favorite location due to the impeccable lighting! This location is beautiful all year around. The lighting is dreamy and you have beautiful scenery with the lake, tall grass, trees, and a small bridge overlooking the lake. This park is also dog friendly so fur babies are welcomed. 🐾 Bathroom on-site for outfit change.

Claude Moore Park

Claude Moore Park is located in Sterling, Virginia. This location is similiar to Lake Fairfax but without the crowds! I especially like the gravel path lined with tall trees, this type of environment offers space for walking portraits. This park is also dog friendly so fur babies are welcomed. 🐾 Bathroom on-site for outfit change.

Morven Park

Morven Park is located in Leesburg, Virginia and is definitely a hot spot amongst photographers. You can't visit the park without seeing at least 2-3 other photoshoots happenings. Can you see why? The grounds at Morven Park is absolutely stunning with a white mansion and boxwood gardens. This location is romantic and offers a wide variety of backgrounds. Oatlands Historic House and Gardens

Oatlands Historic House and Gardens is another one of my top favorite locations! It is located in Leesburg, Virginia and is another hot spot amongst photographers. This location is absolutely dreamy and has lots of charm. Oatlands offers such a wide variety of backgrounds and gives off secret garden vibes. Bathroom on-site for outfit change.

Manassas Battlefields

Think big, wide open fields with pretty golden, wheat colored grass and dreamy lighting! This place is also dog friendly so fur babies are welcomed! 🐾 Bathroom on-site for outfit change.
